The week began with a Tuesday glide,
5.4 kilometers with nothing to hide.
At 6.44 km/hr with the path as my guide,
Along Bukit Timah where the shadows reside.
With Gabry Ponte’s Thunder to lighten the pace,
And cold soya milk for a successful race.
By Thursday, the loop at HillV2 was the goal,
A 4km steady glide for the body and soul.
Keeping the Cap level, the shoulders dropped low,
A pre-Dolly-lunch appointment, just letting it flow.
Focusing on form as the morning air swirled,
A short, rhythmic pulse in a fast-moving world.
Then Saturday dawned with Murakami’s grace,
A 10.01 km slow-burning embrace.
At 5.85 km/hr through the rail corridor’s lane,
Gentle Hums in the ears, ignoring the strain.
Though the shoulder might scream when the movement is done,
The distance is conquered—the battle is won.
Murakami's playlist: Hums of the Lovin Spoonful
