I have been quite the poet this week so the post looks like this:
I set out to "catch the cool" at dawn,
With "low-octane" croissants and a sleepy yawn.
But the clouds disappeared and the air turned thick,
The Rail Corridor felt like a sauna—too quick!
I kept my core centered, my shoulder hung loose,
Even when my breakfast offered no running juice.
The "fat rain" fell down without any breeze,
Turning my 10K to a humid squeeze.
At the 8km mark, the back started to ache,
And my left toes sizzled with every step I’d take.
But I shuffled and ambled and pushed through the grime,
And crossed the finish with plenty of time!
